Why Pellet?

As the price of oil and gas rocket upwards, it is becoming more and more essential that we look at alternative means of heating our homes. Comfort Solutions Ireland offers a range of high quality renewable energy options including state-of-the-art wood pellet boilers which offer you a more economical and energy efficient alternative to oil or gas without compromising on the reliability, convenience or automation of traditional systems. We have the best wood pellet boilers on the market, superior installation, great boiler prices, comprehensive servicing and back-up.....we have everything you need.

Road to Renewable

Alternative fuel for home heating is becoming more and more important as the cost of fossil fuels continue to rapidly rise. As oil and gas become scarcer and more difficult to extract from the earth, prices are spiralling out of control. Also, carbon tax on fossil fuels is likely to rise and rise as government policies continue to encourage us to move away from fossils and towards renewable energy. This policy is necessary to meet EU directives for a reduction in carbon emissions. All this means that renewable energy is quickly becoming the norm. Wood pellets cost approx €260 per tonne and heating oil costs around €900 per 1,000 litres. 2.1 tonnes wood pellets deliver the same heat output as 1,000 litres oil and cost only €546 which is a massive 40% cheaper than oil.* So, call us today to discuss a wood pellet boiler for your home or business.

See typical household example of savings below.

High efficiency

3.5_tonne_metal_silo

Our wood pellet boilers are scientifically tested to ensure they achieve very high efficiency levels of up to 96%. This means very little heat is lost during combustion. In contrast, most traditional oil and gas heating systems only achieve around 80% efficiency and this can be significantly lower (as low as 60%) if a boiler is old or hasn’t been serviced regularly.

Note: If your standard oil boiler is eg. 70% efficient, that means that for every €100 you spend on oil, only €70 is reaching your house as heat with the remaining €30 gone up the chimney or flue. If you could increase this efficiency to say 92% with a new pellet boiler, then this is significant further saving.

Typical Household Example: John Doe is your typical Irish householder and currently spends €1,500 on oil per annum. John has decided that enough is enough and has installed one of our new Slimpel wood pellet boilers.
By investing in this state-of-the-art boiler, John is improving his boiler efficiency, taking advantage of cheaper fuel and is now able to heat his house for only €631 per annum, a saving of a massive €869!! That's a reduction of almost 60% and this is set to get even better if oil prices continue to rise.
The good news is that these savings are very achievable for most Irish households. If you would like full details of how John Doe's achieved his savings, please e-mail info@comfortsolutions.ie with "jdoesavings" in the subject line and you will be sent an explanatory document. You can also contact us for further details or to direct any questions you may have.

Detailed site assessment

Wood pellet boilers are suitable for everyone who has a little space in a shed ouside their home. Ideally, one would have some space adjacent to their boiler for the placment of a bulk silo in order to avail of bulk pellet delivery. Alternatively, we can supply a boiler and storage silo in a self-contained container unit that can simply be placed on a piece of flat ground near your home or business. These self-contained units can even be supplied with a solar thermal system incorporated, if you want to take advantage of free solar energy for hot water purposes. Contact us today to arrange a site survey to determine what your needs are and to see if wood pellets are a viable option for you. We will advise you on whether or not you should consider this investment. Our commitment is to provide you with honest, impartial advice and we assure that you will not be pushed into a sale. If viability is confirmed, Comfort Solutions Ireland has a range of boilers in various sizes and are sure to have a boiler to suit your exact needs, whether for domestic or commercial use.

    Conclusion

So....why pellet? Well our question is "Why not pellet?" We don't really know of any reasons why any home or business would not consider wood pellets as a heating system for envionmental benefits, cleanliness and convenience, not to mention financial reasons. Wood pellets are only 55%* the cost of heating oil and even less* in the case of bulk LPG. This is a huge price differential. Can you afford not to be on wood pellets?
