Energy credit discounts
Discounts available now through the Energy Efficiency Obligation Scheme. This is where a credit is applied to your home for any energy efficient works that you have carried out by a registered and approved contractor. In return for these "credits", we can apply a discount to your next electric bill. That translates credits into cash for you! Examples of discounts that are available under this scheme include up to €104 for roof insulation, up to €472 for external wall insulation and up to €745.60 for boiler and heating controls.And, it's really easy to have these discounts applied! All you need is to be a customer of Electric Ireland and select us to carry out energy efficient works and we'll do the rest! If you aren't already an Electric Ireland customer, that's no problem either but you would need to switch. These discounts are in addition to cash grants from SEAI and tax credits available from Revenue so there really has never been a better time to upgrade your home. That's not to mention the money you'll save on heating or the vastly increased comfort that you can experience in your home!
