Amazing new R290 Propane heat pumps
We're delighted to introduce a new product for the domestic heating scene!
The all-new R290 heat pumps are gaining momentum. Offering superior performance to conventional air-to-water heat pumps, the new R290 models are also super-kind to the environment. Who knew you could have both? Using natural refrigerant R290 (Propane), these heat pumps can reach higher temperatures and are particularly suitable for retrofitting into existing homes. R290 natural refrigerant is 700 times less polluting that other refrigerants that are commonly being used in many heat pumps today. Now that really is a game-changer!
So, whilst taking care of the environment, can these new heat pumps really perform well as well? Well, the answer is a resounding "Yes"! R290 heat pumps can achieve hot water temperatures of up to 80°C WITHOUT electric assistance, with outside temperatures as low as -20°C. This is incredible performance for an air-to-water heat pump and it means that we have more flexibility when designing heating systems for retrofit.
